8th Grade Promotion Information 🎓

Date and Time: Thursday, June 11th at 9:00 am. The ceremony will last approximately 1 hour.

Location: LMA school field. Enter through the side gate in the bus parking lot. Gates open at 8:30 am.

Student Arrival: Students must arrive by 8:30 am to ensure proper order. Students who arrive late, may be denied entry.

Seating: Students will have assigned seating separate from guests. We will have limited guest seating. If you are attending with a large party of people, please consider bringing your own chairs which can be set up behind the other chairs.

Certificate Pick-up: Families unable to attend the promotion may pick up their student's certificate on Friday, June 12th, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Parking: Parking is available in the staff lot, the lot on La Mirada, and on surrounding streets. Please carpool if possible.

Restrooms: Restrooms will be available.

Attire: Students should dress in nice dinner attire. Flat-soled shoes are strongly recommended due to walking on grass and across the stage. Strapless dresses and high heels are not permitted. All clothing must adhere to the school dress code.

Cell Phones: Please silence all cell phones during the ceremony.

Photographs:  Families may take photos from their seats. Two photo stations will be available near the entrance gate after the ceremony.

Prohibited Items: Balloons and air horns are not allowed in the seating area.

Last Day of School: The last day of school is Thursday, June 11th, a minimum day (8:15 am - 12:25 pm). 8th grade students may leave after promotion. Siblings may attend the ceremony and are welcome to leave with the family, but  must be checked out through the front office. 

Awards and Certificates: Students who have returned all books, Chromebooks, and charging cords will receive awards and promotion certificates at the ceremony.
