Hi Wolves,

My name is Mercedes MaCall and I am your school social worker. I have over 16 years experience in working with school aged children. This will be my 9th year working for SMUSD, I actually started my career at SMUSD here at Alvin Dunn. I graduated from UCSB with a major in Sociology and two minors in Education and Psychology. I later received my master’s degree from USC. 

I absolutely love being a Social Worker. It has always been my dream to advocate for children and empower them as well as their families. I come to work everyday excited to help in anyway I can and motivated to teach children to thrive. I look forward to working with you all! If you ever have any questions please reach out.
